We have been sleeping on the gel-memory foam mattress topper since early Summer. Do I find that it changes your sleep(life)? Yes... Is it a good thing? Not so sure. When we first took out this memory foam, we knew right off the bat that this was different than all the other toppers we have owned in the last few years. We have purchased about 4 different types! The smell wasn't the same; usually it is such a gross chemical stench that permeates not only your household but pillows, bedding, clothing, husband and pets. Yes... anything that spent any time on your bed would eventually stink!! This gel foam had the same freshly painted apartment smell that lasted for about 5 days. Personally this wasn't a horrible smell for me, but it may be a deal breaker for others. Would I have wanted my daughter who suffers from allergies and asthma to have slept on the foam the first few nights? NO!Now onto the actual foam... unlike others it unravels and goes to it's full 2.5 inches right there and then. No more leaving this monstrosity laying on your dining room table for 3 days praying that it will reach it's full potential. There is an awesome cover that should be placed over the memory foam so that you will not void your warranty with 'stains'. Rest assured that the cover will fit because it currently covers about 14.5 inches. The only downside is that…

I had been waking up with neck pain and stiffness for months, so I started looking for a more supportive pillow. After reading many reviews I decided on the Sleep Innovations pillow. When I received it, I was very dissapointed. I thought it would be thicker, with more support. I was very close to sending it back but decided to try it. My neck pain was GONE the first night I used it. I have had it for a few weeks now and waking up pain free. I am sold!!

This is my first exposure to memory foam. I didn't know what to expect but needed new pillows for the guest room. I'm surprised anybody likes this in a pillow. I can see how this material would be good for a mattress covering. In a pillow it seems counter productive. It's not soft and if you shift around at all it doesn't fit your head anymore. You have to force this stuff to be the right shape. It feels like using a stack of newspapers for a pillow. (well maybe not quite that bad)I guess I'm just not a memory foam kind of guy.

The pillow is just firm enough to keep the neck straight, and soft enough to rest the head comfortably down. I've tried several different pillows, curved and straight, foamy and firm, but none has the qualities of this pillow. It is worth the money, though in the past I had found it and bought it at a lower price in a large discount store. The only problem is that they don't make it in queen or king size, so you have the feeling that you are a little short on range of movement. I won't count that against them though because the pillow is the best, even so.

The bed I used this on already had a nice pillow-top thing built-in, and it worked well enough for me. This fit on just fine - and I didn't really notice any chemical smell like other reviewers have mentioned. This stuff feels squishy - more so than the other Sleep Innovations topper I own. This is the one I would recommend: Sleep Innovations 2-Inch Memory Foam Topper with 260-Thread-Count Cotton Fitted Cover, QueenSee my review there on that one.As for this gel-topper - I didn't mind it at all, but I wasn't as "wowed" as I was with the one I've linked above.

In short, the pictures give a misleading appearance of thick foam on top of a two-inch memory foam topper. The reality is the polyester "fiber fill" is not even close to the two-inches of claimed thickness (my comforter has more fill) and the fiber will flatten to nothing in less than a week. What you are left with is simply a two-inch topper at a four-inch price.The foam itself is okay but not fantastic. At three-pound density it's soft and lightweight and the new foam smell went away in a week. On the other hand I sink through it easily at 190lbs. I want support from a topper so I tend to look for thicker, higher density toppers; usually four-inch thick, 5lb density foam. High quality 5lb foams will be supportive without being rock hard. This topper is best if you are lightweight or the pillowtop on your mattress has flattened and you just want that sinking-in feeling again.To Sleep Innovations' credit, the "mattress pad" is nice quality and it zips up around the memory foam to help protect it. If this were being advertised as a two-inch lightweight 3lb memory foam topper with mattress pad then I would say it's a good product. However this was originally sold as a four-inch memory foam topper and has since been changed to a "four-inch memory foam and fiber mattress" topper. This is still inaccurate…

After buying this pillow, I bought the real tempurpedic pillows. This is very uncomfortable because the pillow does not compress, causing neck aches.

I have a bed that was wonderful when I bought it, but its been 6 years and is "broken in" and not as comfortable as it use to be but I didn't want to buy a new mattress. I did a lot of research and chose this product. The benefits that I am enjoying the most is I am a hot sleeper and would always wake up sweaty despite the temp in the room, not once since using the gel-memory foam mattress pad have I woken up sweaty or even over warm. I also am waking up with little to no back pain (always had before) and not stiff anymore. The other thing I am very impressed with is I am a "big" girl, yet each night you can't tell where I slept on the bed the night before, springs right back into shape. The topper is fantastic, has not shifted or moved at all, and neither has the gel pad. I did not have any chemical odor problems (as some others had said)....but I did unpack in the morning to give it a day to un-fold and had the window fan on just in case. I would recommend this over and over again, I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. My ONLY con....is I had to buy expensive sheets, because my mattress is already 17" deep and this added another 3" .....so I found some sheets with spandex sides that go up to 24" deep and they were not cheap, so that was another $100 added to my total, but I still have 100% pleased.

We purchased a topper for a summer home from Costco last summer and we are very pleased with that one. Then when we came down to our winter home, we missed the mattress topper and decided to get another one. Instead of getting the same one from Costco decided to do some comparison shopping. Found this one on Amazon and decided to give it a try. This one is superior to the one that we purchased at Costco. Can not imagine a better mattress topper. It is great.

These pillows came with nice zipped pillow covors but the chemical smell was beyond belief. I returned them.
